You can find more of my music under my new project : Pal Parallax
You get the most out of Airsouth's music when you let your mind wander, close your eyes and picture surrealist scenes. Airsouth takes us deep into a visual dream world bursting with percussive drums, flurries of sound design and epic melodies that take us on a journey like a film's score.
Airsouth began in 2011. This period saw a wave of electro producers with similar values including Mura Masa, Cashmere Cat, Flume. They inspired Airsouth to make his mark with a colourful and detailed style that feels like a surgical exploration of sound.
“Exhale”, the new EP, is designed like a dream where everything seems familiar until the boldly confident first harmonic bug. As if to remind you that you're still in an imaginary world.
"Dreams really inspire me. I started getting into lucid dreams a few years ago and how to trigger them, hold onto them and control them. And I can't find what happens visually anywhere in cinema, it's a truly indescribable and incredibly inspiring world that is built on feelings over images."
The tracks on "Exhale" run from introspection to melancholy then tension to orchestral climax through sometimes humanly impossible computer melodies.
"Exhale" is a response to his previous project "Breathe In". A gulp of fresh air to stand out from his contemporaries and showcase his wide range of emotions that keep growing with every new lucid dream.
