AJ From The 9 is a rap recording artist from Rialto, CA and is aspiring to be a breakthrough success from the Inland Empire (The 9: 909 / 951 area code). As a member of the hip-hip collective BlaQ Kennedy, his music showcases his determination as an underdog who's bound for greatness.
Born Angelo Joseph Zito-Garcia on March 23rd, 1992, AJ is of Mexican & Italian descent. Growing up in the 90’s, his early childhood hobby was dubbing cassette tapes which eventually led him to writing his own raps as a teenager. After attending several high schools in San Bernardino County, he began perfecting his craft and releasing mixtapes under the artist name AJG, and later AJG909.
In 2015 he joined BlaQ Kennedy and has since released a total of 7 projects since 2017. His latest release, 9PM / 9AM (Deluxe), is a double album recorded over the span of 3 years and showcases the variety in his approach to music. Currently, AJ From The 9 is working on his summer mixtape “900 Degreez” slated for release 8.29.2025.
His musical inspirations include, but not limited to, artists such Lil Wayne, Drake, Kanye West & Big Sean. AJ's versatile style ranges from lyrical to melodic, chronicling his journey, goals & ambitions as an indie artist from San Bernardino County.
