I am a family man, farmer, and musician. I spent 20 years in office jobs and have recently started writing music full-time. I knew the first time I sat in a cubicle that I couldn’t spend my life there. It took some time but I’m trying something new.
My songs are informed by my experiences as a father, husband, son, and employee and deeply influenced by the bands I listened to endlessly when I was growing up: Weezer, MU330, They Might be Giants, The Impossibles, and – being a Texan – Willie Nelson.
In addition to my two children, my wife and I have a small herd of sheep and goats on our property. They serve as a “free” lawn-mowing service in addition to providing meat and milk, which we use to make soap. Over the years we’ve also raised chickens and bees.
