AJ Powers

The San Antonio, Texas native artist AJ Powers, Leader of collective Optical Renegade had a passion for music since early childhood. This southern artist was influenced by down south hip-hop and east coast boom-bat genres. Fascinated by the articulation of words and melodies he would begin his musical career. Versatility is his strong suit because reaching and connecting with people is what’s most important to him.
“Music was destined for me, it’s in my roots, and has been a passion of mine since I was a child. I feel that I have the power in my voice and thoughts to manifest the reality I wish to perceive. Not many people understand the power of the mind and my music allows me to display personal growth and achievement. My message to all is to believe in yourself, apply pressure when necessary, and don’t let anyone tell you different.”
