AJ’s perfect angst-driven shard of rock is derived from an upbringing diet that consisted of everything from pop punk princesses to Kurt Cobain-styled 90s grunge, and yet her songs have a beautiful balance of pop sensibility shining through with the brightness of a clear-cut diamond. She’s the tomboy who scrubs up well and manages to project as many faces to her music as she does through the characters she portrays. Her musical style and her image are a welcome break among the myriad of tanned just-twenty-somethings who aspire to become pop starlets. AJ stands out as the bonafide real deal who can simply pick up her guitar and entertain us all without a million lights and tricks.

Disillusioned whilst on her journey to learn music performance at college, AJ trusted in her own guns when it comes to making music and continued outside of the system as she wasn’t content to just become a number or follow the pack. She taught herself Logic Pro and recorded, produced and filmed her very first demos and videos, enough to attract International management. Her debut single ‘Movers and Shakers’ has the line “I’ll mix with the stars, I’ll mix with the movers and shakers” - of that we have no doubt. She recorded the video in 30 minutes and edited it by herself which, along with her exceptionally beguiling performance is a testament to her resolve.
