Akad Fana, translated as “Mortal Covenant” from Malay, is a five-piece art-screamo/artcore band based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Their artistic work draws influence from existential thought and various art disciplines, such as fine art and Malay poetry, particularly in lyric writing and cinematic storytelling structures in their sound production—fading and simultaneously expanding the boundaries of the screamo genre.

Akad Fana often begins their set with spontaneous expressionistic painting as a portal, transforming the atmosphere into a melancholic chamber. From time to time, Akad Fana invites guest artists to collaborate in their performances through live interpretative acts. ~ Ammar Idris
