From the moment Akash held his first guitar at only 8 years old, he knew he had to pursue music: with his whole heart. Akash’s previously released music has an influence from a variety of genres and can be described as a surf-style/hard rock combo with different sonic textures. In his upcoming self-produced album, Perpetual Motion, we are told the genres are going to range from rock, reggae, synthwave, and metal to acoustic singer-song writer, and orchestral music. Akash has made it clear that he does not want his music to be defined by a single genre.
Born and raised in the mountains of Northern New Mexico, Akash taught himself how to play guitar and strived to learn as many rock classics as he could. Soon the classic rock turned to hard rock, and then grew into metal. Distorted guitars and punchy drums, however, were not the only music that was played at home when he was growing up. His parents used to play music from all around the world including roots reggae, flamenco, and traditional music from India.
After moving to Southern California to study mechanical engineering, Akash started getting serious with music production and designed/built a recording studio in his bedroom from scratch. Embracing his past failures and learning from his mistakes are what constantly motivate Akash to stay on track. With the release of his upcoming album he has just one goal: to tell his story with full expression.
