Akeelah

AKEELAH ( also nicknamed @Songbird ) is a female artist based in Mombassa, Kenya. She began singing at a tender age of 4 and now uses her powerful voice in the flavours of Flava and Afrobeats. Her professional music career took off at the age of 14 creating various projects such as “Digo Love“ and “Turn Me On” where she was featured by Kelechi Africana and underwent mentorship. In addition, she collaborated with various producers such as Shirko Media, Lechi, Producer Ink, Tizo Touchz and Producer Cukie, both based in Tanzania and the rest in Kenya. Releasing her first solo known as “Nikuache” under Shirko Media she was widely acclaimed and continued various collaborations with artists such as Ally Mahaba, with two songs “Tujikumbushe” and “Ujitume” gaining over 1 million views on YouTube. Akeelah previously performed in various concerts on Women’s day organized by Mombasa County and mentored in the Sarakasi trust events which were sponsored by the US embassy for youth empowerment project. She is signed under a record label partnership between HAKIM EMPIRE and 47TAKING. Her music can be found on all digital platforms.
