Lior Akerman is a singer-songwriter who began his musical career in 2011 as the lead singer in the band "Rony Voodoo." He established himself as a powerful vocalist, joining the band in releasing two albums and performing at the Barby, Zappa and other venues in Israel. In 2018, Lior decided to leave Rony Voodoo to pursue a solo career.
His decision was met with eagerness to see what he would create on his own. Lior began working on new music, drawing musical inspiration from his influences such as Nick Cave, and John Frusciante, coupled with intimate and compelling lyrics.
In 2022, Lior released his first solo EP, in Hebrew, which showcased his versatility as a songwriter and artist. The EP received positive reviews and helped to establish Lior as a rising talent in the music scene. He began performing live and quickly gained a reputation for his emotive live performances and thought-provoking lyrics.
These days Lior and his producer, Or Bahir, are working on an ambitious project comprising 5 EP's, in English this time, detailing a story of a fictional violent cultural revolution and its outcomes
Throughout his career, Lior has been known for his ability to connect with audiences on a personal level and continues to tour and perform. He consistently challenges himself - musically, lyrically and vocally, pushing boundaries with his unique perspective, voice and story-telling style, and is always aiming to offer something new and refreshing to his listeners.
