Born in Virginia, Al B Sosa began singing in the church with his mother and articulated in fine arts programs of music and chorus. Due to his hard work and diligence, Al B Sosa was selected to the “All State Chorus” in 1998 where his team was placed 2nd in the district. In the early 1980's, Al B Sosa was introduced to rap music on the streets of Prentice Park and Academy Park (KP) where he took to the liking of rap. He was influenced by artists such as Rob Bass, MC Hammer, Kurtis Blow and LL Cool J just to name a few. Al B Sosa realized that he had the ear for music and was intrigue by the 1990’s Bad Boys era. Al B Sosa finally gave it a shot by recording his 1st R&B song at “Fast Tracks Studio” in Virginia Beach, Va. It was then that he realized that singing wasn’t his thing, so he decided to be a rapper.

Al B Sosa recorded over 60 songs on various labels. A few made it way onto the local radio and worldwide internet stations. Some of his latest releases included to date “On the Grind - Phantoms of Darkness feat. Al B Sosa (2019) P.O.D Music Group”, “Drink Smoke – Al B Sosa feat. Lord Skrypcha (2016), Ride Wit Me – Al B Sosa (2013) Gregota Music LLC” and “Sparetime – King Born feat. Al B Sosa (2015) King Born Records. Al B Sosa also performed at several venue outlets such as Club Hammer Head, Cozume, AJ Gators, Berkley Reunion, D Frasiers and had various record club spins at Magic City I & II, 3 Cheer Lounge, Paddy O’Brians, AJ Gators, Red Star Café and many more.
