Alan G Smallman is an award-winning folk singer/songwriter based on the Southern Fleurieu in South Australia.
Alan G hails originally from the Midlands area of England, where he worked at Birmingham’s Conservatoire Of Music, and played in several club bands.
Alan’s musical influences range from The Beatles, XTC, and The Barenaked Ladies, The Divine Comedy, John Paul White,Rayland Baxter, Shane Nicholson, Josh Pike,John Paul White, and Damien Rice. His unique style, both as a guitarist and raconteur shines through every performance…..in his own compositions or interpretations of such songs as Sinatra’s ‘Fly Me To The Moon’, Feargal Sharkey’s ‘You Little Thief’, John Denver’s ‘Country Roads’ or Donavon’s ‘Colours’. Alan (or AG as he likes to be called) has recently appeared as an Adelaide Fringe Perfomer and currently has two albums (‘So Long’ and ‘Free Feet - No Twists’) available on streaming services and YouTube. In 2025 he made his debut at Tamworth Country Musical Festival, and is currently working on new songs for his forthcoming third album.
