Albarello is Mark D'Angelo (Vox, Guitar, Woodwind) and Antonio Sanciolo (Keys, Strings).
They met in their high school symphony orchestra and have been writing and performing ever since.
Named after the antique medicinal jar, Albarello reflects Mark and Antonio's eternal admiration for the psych/folk/rock genres that spilled out of the late 60's and through the 70's and a desire to write works that evoke the same nostalgia and mystique but with a modern production sensibility and relevance to listeners today.
Albarello's debut, the "Soft Rain EP", has been recorded and produced by Mark at his South Melbourne studio and mixed by Steven Schram (San Cisco, Midlife, Mo'Ju, Jaguar Jonze).
