Who are Albert?
As it seems strange to talk of a first name in plural, behind the scenes the reasons for this
become apparent very soon: Two men, coined by such a long friendship that they had to
give themselves a joint name. In truth, Albert are Simon Konrad & Felix Mannherz, who
are well-known in the german music scene as the former singer & drummer of the Indie-
Band Cargo City.

After the end of Cargo City, Simon & Felix carry on. After their birth in May 2016, Albert
made their first steps: The first two singles „The Most Exciting Thing“ and "Thinking of You" received nationwide airplay and two successful tours throughout Germany followed in 2016, showing their qualityvas an impressive live-act. In early 2017, Albert focussed on working on their debut-album „Heavy Losses“. With Oliver Zülch (The Notwist, Die Ärzte and others) they found the right producer to match their idea of sound.

With their debut-album „Heavy Losses“, which will be out on October 20th, 2017, Albert
present their high-contrast trademark-sound: A melancholic-euphoric mix of acoustic
guitars, rhythmic 80’s-synths, catchy hooks and analog and synthetic drums. Like a big city that fades in the rearview mirror while the adventure takes its place in front of you; the unknown ahead, accompanied by a touch of bittersweet melancholy and the certainty that there’s someone waiting at home. If you listen to Albert it becomes clear: Two people form the better person.
