For Alessandra Hang Huynh, known as Ale Hang, music comes from everywhere: late-night tears on a Saigon rooftop, the Venetian sky reflected in a cigarette ember, a diary entry written in three languages because one was never enough. Born in Schio, Italy, to a Vietnamese family, Ale grew up surrounded by the legacy of her grandfather, painter Huỳnh Phương Đông, whose work taught her that art is not decoration but memory and resistance. Today she splits her life between Paris, Milan, and Saigon, and each city shapes her sound. Sometimes she switches language mid-verse, not to impress, but because certain feelings only exist in one tongue.
