professional dreamer.
Born in El Paso, Texas, but has lived most of his life in Hong Kong, Thailand, and Mexico, Alec Mora is a DJ, Producer, and Musician who initially debuted as a lo-fi hip-hop artist who has now taken influence from a variety of genres. He is currently studying Actuarial Science at Purdue University in Indiana. Although he is by nature a logical thinker with an uncanny enthusiasm for Mathematics, his passion for music has remained his stable connection in his worldwide journey.
Alec is a saxophonist and pianist who regularly plays the piano for personal enjoyment and music creation in the studio. He was first introduced to the realm of music production at the early age of nine while experimenting with the music program “Garage Band” on a borrowed computer. While studying in High School, he stumbled upon a unique playlist of lo-fi beats that roused and incited his desire to write and produce music. Since then, he has released a full-length album “<a href="spotify:album:3o9bE1rbrtVWKWFPBGCKgY" data-name="precipitation">precipitation</a>”, the EP “<a href="spotify:album:3gROdOsQHcO9JgOshMCVhl" data-name="day to day">day to day</a>”, and singles such as his latest release "<a href="spotify:album:4HUuIrYJe0zqMHUxGh3M7w" data-name="they don't need me">they don't need me</a>".
Alec Mora has a distinctive mellow style of including nostalgic sounds, often using live recordings of piano, guitar, and brass instrumentation for a more natural listening experience. He uses original lyrics and relatable dialogue to connect with his listeners and evoke personal feelings and emotions. He continues to progress as a person, as an artist, and above all... as a professional dreamer.
