Edgar Alejandro Medina M.Ed. aka Alejandro Morse (Leon, Mexico. 1981 - 2023) ✝

Edgar Medina operating under his Alejandro Morse persona, has been actively exploring the electronic / atmospheric / avant-garde music since the beginning of the XXI century, his composition approach could be aligned under the currents of modern-classical, ambient, minimalistic noise, or electro acoustic / synthetic electronic music; using radio frequencies catched on his SDR explorations, processed acoustic instruments, and also field recordings collected in a snapshot-like approach. His tracks has been described as “slow-burning music that can permeate the mind of the audience and reward its investment with an emotional payoff. “…painstakingly texturized walls of sound in an encounter with harmonic perfection”… “an emotionally charged atmosphere applying intricate sound processing to the interwoven elements adding complexity to the listener experience.” … Medina is also known as Transistor ––his techno-oriented project.

Edgar Medina is a founding artist and collaborator for Umor Rex, he publishes his full albums as Alejandro Morse under the Umor Rex imprint: Landscape Memories (2006), Obelisks (2007), Liminal (2018) , ‘444’ (2019), ‘RAOTSOJ’ (2021) and ‘Stonewalling’ (2022). Medina is commissioned for mastering a wide selection of the Umor Rex's catalog. Lately, he delivered music under Dragon’s Eye Recordings, Transvection Ltd., Sleep FUSE and Static Discos imprints.
