Alessandro Ginevri discovered his passion for music at age 12, experimenting with sound collages on a portable stereo. He began studying guitar and joined a punk-reggae band as a vocalist and songwriter. Fascinated by Jethro Tull, he dedicated himself to studying the flute under Francesca Rapetti and later Michele Gori, delving into jazz. His curiosity about Italian folk, particularly pizzica and taranta, was sparked by reading Ernesto De Martino. In 2009, he participated in a European project with the Munich Kulturreferat, exploring folk repertoires across different European traditions.
Alongside music, Ginevri earned a degree in Education Sciences from the University of Genoa, integrating music into his professional activities. In 2017, he began exploring dance, experimenting with Contact Improvisation and moving meditation, creating soundscapes for improvised choreographies. Since 2018, he has participated in international festivals like Italy Contact Camp, Dancefulness in Ukraine, and the Being Touch Festival.
In 2024, he released his self-produced debut album, Noon, dedicated to dance and meditation. Inspired by artists such as Robert Henke and Alva Noto, Ginevri developed a personal musical language, using synthesizers and field recordings to create an immersive sonic experience.
