Sat on the sunny, English seaside town of Scarborough, Alex Bailey is one of a barrage of hobbyist emcees trying to get heard. A political activist, emcee, singer, semi-proficient multi-instrumentalist, producer and mix engineer, he brings songs drawing together stories, political analysis, protest and crafted, thoughtful concepts. He cites ‘most Australian hip-hop’ as a major influence on his work, despite living on the other side of the world.
In recent times, Alex has found production success through his work with regular collaborator Leddie MC, their collaborations supported by BBC Radio 1, 6Music and BBC Radio Newcastle. From a solo perspective, Alex has had airplay on Coast & County Radio & BBC Radio York, the latter inviting him for a live session in November 2017.
Sometimes heard, often found yelling into the void, but always telling it how it is.
