Alex Taylor

Born in November ‘99, Alex Taylor is an independent artist based out of Arizona. Taylor describes his music as “an embodiment of electric, messy, sonic emotions”. He classifies it as hyper/synthwave/bass pop, though tends to favor the future bass/synthwave side. Taylor writes his own lyrics, as well as produces all of his tracks.


Growing up in the mid 2010’s, Taylor’s musical influences were the “typical 2014 tumblr-core” with the likes of Lana Del Rey, Lorde, Tove Lo, Marina, The Neighbourhood, etc. being amongst his favorite and biggest influences. Musically, he tends to be more inspired by the electric synths of Tove Lo, the incredible cadence of Nine Inch Nails, and the nostalgia of All American Rejects. Though, Taylor states he is very influenced by the way these artists induce feelings, not always by sound, necessarily.


Taylor has completed writing and is currently producing his album, which he plans to put out later this year.
