Alex The Great is a rapper/songwriter from the south side of Chicago. Coming from the Auburn Gresham neighborhood. He got his start in a music program known as The Music Lab, where he gained attention under the name Alex Tha Talented. The owner of the music program granted him a different name as Alex The Great because of his talent for rapping and writing songs. He later on went on Power 92’s “Party In Peace Tour” to Denver, Colorado and another to Washington DC. He gained even more notoriety for making a rap for media personality Kendra G, which was aired on the radio for “The Love of Kendra G” on WGCI. Then the song he wrote for his mother for Mother’s Day aired on Power 92. He believes that true artists draw inspiration from all genres of music. He is inspired by Paramore, J. Cole, Big Sean, Lil Wayne, Michael Jackson and more.
