Alex VanTassel

Alex VanTassel is a singer, songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist from Endicott, New York. Her solo work is known for blending art rock and R&B into a sound that’s both emotionally rich and musically layered. A mostly self-producing artist, she builds her tracks from the ground up—writing, recording, and performing vocals, bass, drums, and even recorder.

Her latest release, "I Want To Be With You" (2025), showcases her continued growth as an artist, offering a smooth, evocative take on minimalist indie with a touch of R&B. She first gained attention with her debut album Roaches in My Head (2022), recorded at just 16, which features introspective tracks like “Create Time For Reflection” and “Stolen”. Some of the songs featured on this album were written when Alex was just 12 years old.

Alex's live shows are electric and immersive, marked by an intense emotional connection and a hint of theatricality that keeps audiences fully engaged. Whether performing solo or holding down bass and vocals in her bands Supercritical and Triple Cities Soul Machine, she brings a powerful stage presence and a deep connection to her music.
