Alex Whitcombe has been Dj'ing, making and remixing music since the early 90's. In 1995 Alex set up Steel Fish Records and began to record in the studio as Qattara. Things happened very quickly including a label deal with EMI's dance label Positiva, an Official UK Club Chart #1, Dj'ing all over the world plus remixing the likes of Donna Summer, Paganini Traxx, Jam & Spoon and Paul Van Dyk. Alex's love and passion for all types of music is what keeps his sound fresh after all these years and has seen a recent studio collaboration with the multi-talented Simon Duffy. Many years later Steel Fish Records is still at the forefront of the UK dance music scene, creating some of the best Progressive House, Melodic Techno and Tech House, with support from some of the world's leading Dj's.
