Alexander Lundberg is a Swedish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose music has evolved over more than three decades. His debut album, Cogito Ergo Sum, was recorded between 1989 and 1992 and released in 1992. Its title—“I think, therefore I am”—reflected an early fascination with thinking about his own thinking, a curiosity that would later lead him to study psychology and the human mind.
After recording the album, Alexander studied guitar, songwriting and vocals at Musicians Institute/GIT in Hollywood, where personal coaching with the late Tim Bogert helped shape the voice heard on his later recordings.
Life then took another direction. Alexander became a psychologist, psychotherapist, researcher and leadership consultant, but music never disappeared. Songs continued to grow alongside a life spent listening to thousands of human stories.
While I Am was recorded in New Jersey in 2013 but remained unfinished until the pandemic years, when it was finally completed and released. Footprints blends songs written across different chapters of life; its title track was recorded in northern Sweden in 2018, beginning with little more than fingerpicked guitar and banjo.
Together, these records reveal not only the maturation of a voice but a lifelong search for meaning. Every song is inspired by real human encounters, exploring love, nature, resilience, identity and what it means to be human.
