Born in Porto, Alexandre Soares is an extraordinary living biography of Portuguese music. Having started his career in 1980 as guitarist and composer for GNR - a group of which he was co-founder and first vocalist - he later joined the band Três Tristes Tigres, when the group was distinguished by the Blitz newspaper with the award for the album and group of the year. In 2020, the album “Mínima Luz” is released, which brings the group back to the stage. He also regularly performs with Osso vaidoso, Rui Reininho and works on film, theater and dance soundtracks, as well as musical production. He is connected to the Sonoscopia Association.
Now, Alexandre Soares presents us with “Ouvido Interno”, an album in which he leaves the song format, diving into a slow and electric contemporary dance, with modular synthesizers and screaming guitars.
Wrapped in an environment rich in experimentation and improvisation, the album also features the collaboration of Eleonor Picas (Harp) and the percussion of Pedro Oliveira (Clã, Krake and Peixe-Avião). “Ouvido Interno” is now available on streaming platforms with the song that closes the album, Neônio, remixed in the immersive spatial audio system Dolby Atmos Music.
