Specializing in lightweight AOR with a higher than usual brass content, Alexis never really hit their stride on their sole album for MCA Records in 1977. Reminiscent of the lightest moments of Toto, Chicago or Maxus, and despite the benefit of a big-name producer in Ron Nevison, their music neither received nor deserved success. Eddie Ulibarri (vocals/keyboards) surfaced later as a session man of some note, but the rest of the line-up, comprising Randy Reeder (drums), Larry Braden (bass), Dave Peters (saxophone/synthesizer), Robbie Fallberg (guitar) and Dick Walker (keyboards/vocals) did not reappear.
