Fans would know Alfie as one half of chart topping duo Hudson Taylor, but Alfie Hudson Taylor is very much a brand new solo artist. He toured the world playing shows with the likes of The Rolling Stones and Hozier, achieving number 1 albums and selling out tours. This may sound impressive however on the day Hudson Taylor’s sophomore album reached number 1, Alfie had -80 euro in his bank account. On the outside it looked like success, however Alfie struggled to understand how even successful artists fail to make a living wage.
Alfie chose to walk away from the brother duo and in October 2023 released podcast ‘How To Break An Artist’ to give advice to young artists and to reveal the real reasons he brought Hudson Taylor to an end.
Highlighting the many key issues faced by artists in todays music industry is important to Alfie and at the forefront of his mind as he releases his debut single ‘Being In Love’ with a new found confidence as this time, he’s doing it his way.
