Mr. Khan got his early education regarding the ART of Qawwali from his father ''USTAD BADAR MIANDAD KHAN'' is the age of fifteen years and started his professional career. He also performed in many TV programmes. He visited abroad too. His forefathers are famous in the whole Indo-Pak, Asia and European countries as well because of the followers of HAZRAT AMEER KHUSRO who promote ''SUFI-IZAM'' of Islam through music. It is great honour to his tribe that about 80% of Qawwals of Indo-Pak were their pupils Mr, Khan had started his career properly after the death of his father.

Mr, ALI BADAR KHAN and his cousin RAHAT FATEH ALI KHAN are only the one in their family who have started their career in singing.
