Alien Cargo is an alternative rock band from Trondheim, Norway. Drawn to the conceptual and weird whilst clinging to a twisted pop sensibility, they have somehow found their own way of exploring personal and social issues over the course of two albums and one EP.
The trio started out in late 2018, after the implosion of a previous group left a gaping void in their schedules. Following a frenetic period of rehearsing they recorded the debut EP in April 2019. Keen to realize their potential, they then wrote and recorded two proper albums (in 2020 and 2021) while playing a few scattered gigs around Trondheim.
Despite their chilly sci-fi image there is a warm and empathetic tone to much of the songwriting, as heard on "Boy Avoidant" and "Deepfake". This is made more evident on their last album, released in July 2022.
