An English musician living in Iceland, drawing inspiration from the view outside of his studio window, surrounded by mountains, rivers, northern lights and chickens.
Graduating from the London Centre of Contemporary Music Alisdair has toured the world playing acoustic guitar and producing albums with wife and music partner Hafdís Huld, most noticeably releasing Vögguvísur (Lullabies) in 2012 which has become the most streamed album in Icelandic history and recently awarded double platinum status.
Growing up in a musical household, everyday hearing his mother, an opera singer and pianist, Alisdair has always been drawn back to his childhood instrument, the piano, and enjoys the calm moments sitting and improvising.
2022 sees the debut release ‘Mosfell’, inspired by the nearby mountain Mosfell and its ever changing scenery through the dynamic and picturesque seasons in the land of ice and fire.
