Alison Rose

An Ottawa-based singer/songwriter with an indie pop heart. Alison Rose’s songs are multi-faceted with songs ranging from sadly beautiful to upbeat pop-rock.

Alison Rose is a multi-instrumentalist and producer. She records all of the instrumentation and produces every aspect of her recordings herself in her basement studio in Ottawa Ontario.

Alison Rose began taking music seriously at the age of 12, picking up a pair of drumsticks. By the time she was a teenager had started learning guitar and tinkering on the piano. Rose’s songwriting and singing developed slowly over the years, the self-proclaimed secret bedroom singer took some time to take the stage.

From age 20-25 Alison Rose slowly wrote and recorded her debut album after studying recording and production. Rose would isolate herself with recording equipment at a family cottage for weeks at a time learning and writing as she went. 

Her debut album “Come a Little Closer” was released May 2016 and held an unfocused indie-pop-rock style with folk roots. Summer 2019, Rose put out her second full-length album “Golden”, a more mature collection, undeniably indie-pop.



Most recently, Alison Rose released a cover album one of the world's most iconic and influential albums of all time, Nevermind for it’s 30th anniversary.
