All Day Breakfast is an Australian slacker-rock trio. Born and raised in the Canberra region, cousins Aodhan, Tom and Declan have been playing music together for a long time... probably since they were toilet trained. Debut EP "Teen Angst for Twenty-Somethings" wrestles with the necessity of adjusting to adult life, while still acting out of the habits of your moody teenage years. Serious topics are addressed in this EP, however, the band still manage to convey all with a grain of salt.
"How to Waste Eight Hours a Day" is a tongue-in-cheek critique of the 9-5, describing a mild rebelliousness amidst the drudgery of the first, dry office job post-uni. "Brain Cells" wrestles with the reality of family expectations, and generally depresso existential questioning. "Just for Fun'' expresses self awareness in a habit of emotional repression and the discomfort of moving away from home for the first time. Across the tracks, a harsh and heavy yet warm and light hearted sound convey these sentiments well. A driving musical yearning and frustration ultimately flow into a relieving catharsis, as gang vocals and raw choruses bring you through the angst, and all the way home.
