All Rescued Children started as a bedroom project when Jared Groenewegen graduated from Liberty University in 2012.
The name of the band comes from a belief that man has sinned and fallen short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23), but that God sent Jesus (John 8:42) so that He might die in our place (Romans 5:8), rescuing us from death, and adopting us as children (2 Corinthians 6:18).
In 2017, Jared got connected with Life 100.3 out of Barrie, Ontario. Life allowed Jared to record three singles over the course of the year. The first was @“let it go”, which released in April of 2017. With promotion from Scott Jackson, president of Life, “Let It Go” charted on Christian radio in Canada.
The second song was the song @“Take A Step”. Released in fall of 2017, “Take A Step was again promoted by Jackson, who now managed the band. “Take A Step” managed to to chart as the #1 song on Canadian Christian radio by a Canadian artist for 3 months straight.
The third single was @“Worthy”, which was co-written by Francy of @hellokelly. “Worthy” was released in spring of 2018. This happened during a time of pause for the band. Jared felt God calling him away from full time music, and back into the work force, to help and provide for his wife. “Worthy” also managed to chart in Canada, though it did not attain the same success as the previous songs.
Today, the band still performs in churches and for conferences when not under “stay-at-home” orders.
