I'm the singer/songwriter type and I love writing songs that don't quite fit the mould. I like words and the different levels of meaning they're capable of having at any given time. I play guitar and enjoy inventing things on the piano. I also enjoy testing my respiratory facilities by inhaling and exhaling on the harmonica. I like melody.

About the band: Unfortunately, there isn't one. The music you hear on the “Social Diseases and Other Misfortunes” album was recorded with a tight group of studio musicians who played together, at that time, in a band named Orquesta Pasadena. They were Diego Contreras del Rio on drums, Pablo Padilla on guitars, and Cheluis Salmerón on bass and keyboards. They were very good. Other fine musicians who worked on the album were: Javier Hidalgo Muñoz - Alto sax; Joris Margot - Flute; Jaime Quirantes - Trumpet; Jim Corboy - Congas, Djembes, Bongos and percussion titbits; Marie Carmen Hernández - Vocals and backing vocals.

Cheluis Salmerón was also the musical engineer and producer of the album.

Years later: Is this a new bio? Not really, I’m still the singer/songwriter type. I still enjoy words and their multiple meanings - literally, symbolically and metaphorically, as well as esoterically - especially when they occasionally touch all four types at once. I still like writing songs of a different stamp, long ones and short ones. I attempt to tell stories; I make statements.
