Allie Goodyear is a 18-year-old singer-songwriter from Ottawa, Ontario. She has performed her original songs at local events in Ottawa, as part of the Ottawa Fringe Festival and Marvest Folk Festival. Notably, she is the composer and songwriter of the theme song for a local ice cream shop, The Merry Dairy.
She is influenced by artists such as Fleetwood Mac, Adrianne Lenker, and Joni Mitchell. Allie is grateful to have had the chance to work with artists like Just Jamaal the Poet and Zack Werner during the past few years.
She started learning to play the piano at age four and since then, has branched out with guitar, ukulele, flute and bass. Allie has been songwriting since age ten and writes far beyond her years.
Allie is inspired by the truth, her experiences and real-life issues, but can equally take inspiration from small things in her environment. She strives to make relatable music that helps people not to feel alone.
This year, Allie has put the time and energy into writing songs and working on her creative process. Her debut single “Breathe” was released in July 2021.
