It’s not often that you find a group of friends like this. The members of Along These Lights (Michael Ahern, Aaron Blanchard, Jacob DeMarco, and Brian Gagné) have been friends nearly their entire lives. It also just so happens that in the mid 2000’s they each got into the emo music scene to the point where they wanted to pick it up themselves. As a result, Along These Lights was born in Upstate NY. They played a variety of shows around the area and recorded a 3-song EP called Without a Date to the Prom… (2008).
After graduating high school they went on an indefinite hiatus as life brought them in several different directions. But miracles do happen, and somehow, someway, they were all brought back together in Utah of all places.
And so they did what they knew they had to. Along These Lights was revived, and they quickly got to work on their first full-length studio album. Recorded entirely in Brian’s basement, mixed by Jason Jones at Art City Sound, and mastered by the incredibly skilled Adam Bentley (<a href="spotify:artist:4ilweWzFHh6vrr7OOuDcUh" data-name="Arch Echo">Arch Echo</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:55VxnfPepqDlPeLEr6qhUP" data-name="Absently">Absently</a>), To Be Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea comes out January 1st, 2025 - 17 years since their last release.
