Tucson, Arizona's Altrice produces music ranging from reflective, sample-driven downtempo to bittersweet house tracks. Initially earning attention for his remixes of Caribou and Radiohead during the early 2010s, he largely kept a low profile for the rest of the decade, releasing hip-hop and experimental material before issuing an EP of club-friendly tracks, Compciter, in 2022.

Altrice, whose real name is Mike Sadatmousavi, remixed the Caribou song "Sun" as part of a remix contest in 2010. His mix won and was featured on Swim Remixes along with contributions by Junior Boys, Gold Panda, DJ Koze, and others. Altrice then remixed the entire Swim album and released it as Stem. He additionally made an appearance on Radiohead's remix album TKOL RMX 1234567. Later in the decade, he digitally released two independent full-lengths, Mehran (2017) and Contemporary LP (2019), which mixed organic downtempo and low-key house tracks. He also released collaborations with Arizona-based conscious rapper Jaca Zulu. Focusing on club material, Altrice released the five-song Compciter EP on Caribou's Jiaolong label in 2022. ~ Paul Simpson, Rovi
