Always Forward

Always Forward is the solo project of Santiago Gimenez, an Argentine DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist based in Buenos Aires. A guitarist since the age of 12, Santiago has explored music from band stages to the electronic underground, shaping a versatile artistry that now finds its voice in deep, soulful and minimal house.

As part of the duo los.monos, active since 2013, he helped build a solid presence in the Argentine scene, performing at clubs like Niceto, Crobar and Club Quba, and releasing on international labels such as HandCrafted Label (Spain), Kina Music (Italy), and Eli.Sound (Venezuela). This background set the foundation for his solo journey.

His personal sound blends the warmth of deep and soulful house with the intimacy of minimal aesthetics, enriched by jazz-inspired chords, hypnotic textures and cinematic storytelling. Drawing influences from Minimal House and the emotional depth of artists like Folamour and Cody Currie, Always Forward creates immersive grooves that connect equally with the dancefloor and the inner world of the listener.

Currently releasing his debut EP "i feel like us having sex was a mistake", Always Forward seeks to capture the emotional afterglow of moments that felt real at night and wrong by morning — blending desire, guilt, silence and beauty into four grooves that work as a short film.
