Alya

Born and raised in Dubai to an Emirati father and a British mother, Alya is a 15-year-old Emirati singer-songwriter. Fluent in both English and Arabic, Alya embraces both of her parents’ cultures with ease and this diversity influences her work.

Alya is following her lifelong passion to become a singer and performer, and she is equally at home on the stage as she is in front of the camera. Dancing and singing since the age of 3, from an early age she had an amazing knack of being able to copy choreography and would spend hours channeling Beyonce, Ciara and Les Twins.

Praised by industry powerhouses such as Simon Fuller as “faultless” and Kyle Hanagami as “something special”, Alya was raised listening to a diverse range of music including James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Beyonce, H.E.R, Jorja Smith, Tupac and Snoop Dog, all of which are echoed in her singing and dancing styles.

Citing Beyonce as her ultimate influence, Alya writes and performs her own music and is rapidly amassing a huge global fan base from countries including Brazil, Portugal, Saudi Arabia and UAE and she is the subject of more than 200 fan pages.
