Al'york

Al’York is an independent rock ‘n’ roll band, based in Ankara, Turkey. We bring together backgrounds in jazz, blues, punk, and folk. Our style can be described as rock ‘n’ roll, dark and bluesy. We’re very active in the local music scene and released our self-titled debut EP in May 2016. Our follow-up EP “Plastic Jungle” was released in April 2017 and now we have released our brand new single "We're Gonna Burn Here."

Our performances have been at local venues such as Babylon, Zorlu Performance Arts Center, IF Performance Hall, Peyote and Karga. We have played some festivals such as Chill-Out Fest in Istanbul, Epic Fair in İzmir, YO!Fest in Strasbourg, MIX Festival at Zorlu Performing Arts Center and more recently the 25th Istanbul Jazz Festival. Some of the local bands we have played and toured with include The Ringo Jets and Eskiz. We have also opened up for international artists like Hanni El Khatib and were selected as one of Turkey’s Red Bull Warm Up bands for 2017. Some of the sessions we have been apart of include the one we did for Babylon TV and Sofar Sounds.
