ALYSON GREENFIELD is a “wonderful experimental indie-songstress” (Bust) whose music crosses the genres of folk, electro-pop, and hip-hop. Her “eclectic sound” (AM New York) has led her to share the stage with a wide range of artists including Beatboxing Legend Rahzel, NPR Tiny Desk Winner Gaelynn Lea, & Actress/Rapper Awkwafina. Greenfield's music has been heard on Fox, Lifetime, AOL, WNYC, Teen Vogue, and in films including Conception (Tribeca Film), Super Sleuths (SXSW World Premiere), and The American Templars (Amazon), for which she composed the full score. A notable release of Greenfield's is her album of 90's hip-hop covers, ROCK OUT WITH YOUR GLOCKENSPIEL OUT, which garnered nods from The New Yorker, HuffPost, and Cover Me. In 2023, Greenfield began releasing music via her quirky hip hop persona ALY G, which has led to collaborations with Grammy Nominated Producer Baby Paul (Nas, J Dilla), & accolades from The Hype Magazine saying, “With a knack for blending rapid-fire rhymes with themes of feminism and social commentary, ALY G’s fearless approach to music promises to inspire and uplift audiences far and wide.” Greenfield is also the Founder of the Tinderbox Music Festival, which showcased emerging female musicians, while giving back to NYC nonprofits empowering young women. The festival grew quickly in its four-year run, showcasing more than 100 artists from all over the world, while garnering press from The New York Times, Billboard, & Glamour.
