Having survived breast cancer , A.M7 (formerly known as Twone Gabz), is back with a whole new outlook. The Chicago emcee built a considerable buzz in the mid to late 2010s by killing features on acclaimed albums by big name artists. He caught a body on Rhymefest’s “El Che” release, was invited to get down on two cuts on DJ Jazzy Jeff’s “The Return of The Magnificent” album, and Erick Sermon put a heavy spotlight on the lyricist when he had him catch wreck on five joints on his “Breathe Of Fresh Air” mixtape and another track on his “ESP” LP.
Now, A.M7 ahas returned with a full length titled “The Quarantine” that takes a serious look at these strange days and times. The lead single is “God Bless,” a sincere ode to the most high. The track closes with a voicemail from superstar producer No I.D. in which he informs the Chitown rapper that they’ve got work to do.
