Amakuno (Aniss Belkadi) is a young French-Algerian composer/director based in Paris. He studied cinema at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and film scoring at the New-York University (NYU Film Scoring Workshop 2019). His work has been compared to Béla Bartók and Igor Stravinsky by L.A. based composer Michael A. Levine (Cold Case, Pirates of the Carribean…) and has been defined as “brilliant” and “extremely gifted” by César-nominated French composer Béatrice Thiriet.
