AMANZI’s journey is one of resilience, reinvention, and self-expression; born and based in Brighton with South African roots, this singer-songwriter first found her voice behind the scenes and has been no stranger to both the studio and stage since. Inspired by icons like Nina Simone and the cultural melting pot of her upbringing, AMANZI’s music fuses Soul, Jazz, Gospel, Blues, and heartfelt storytelling.

Her songs are deeply personal; raw, honest, and intimate lyricism reflecting on loss, love, self-discovery, and societal struggles and that in itself carries a genuine often positive message. Drawing from her own experiences - from navigating addiction and grief to the challenges of the British working class and community around her - AMANZI frames hardship into songs that connect on an interpersonal level. Bold, vulnerable, and unapologetically AMANZI, her work celebrates resilience, imperfection, and the power of sharing one’s truth.
