Melding a modern miasma of pop-production with an acoustic indie-folk playfulness, Amber Farnan captivates audiences with her clever song writing and subliminal new sound. Think ‘Mallrat’s’ bright danceability meets ‘Missy Higgins’ softness to create an inspired self-assuredness.
Set to release her debut EP ‘The Motions’ September 1st, produced by Mark Myers former member of ‘The Middle East’, and Mastered by Grammy Award-winning engineer, William Bowden ( The Living End, Kylie Minogue & Gotye)
Her High Powered Vocals and universal song-writing style has scored her a Queensland Music Award for her song ‘Over & Out” in 2021. She has toured national music festivals and shared the stage with ‘The Jezabels’, ‘Jaguar Jonze’, ‘Tia Gostelow’, ‘Jem Cassar-Daley’, ‘Beddy Rays’ and ‘Teen Jesus and the Jean Teases’. Amber has performed her original music with the ‘Queensland Symphony Orchestra’ and has worked with renowned acts: John Foreman, Donna Dyson, Jack River and Tyrone Noonan.
'Beautifully delivered indie folk story telling - great captive production in this - loving all the textures!' - Steph Hughes (Triple J)
'Amber standing so tall on this self assured and sweetly made pop track' - Dave Ruby Howe (Triple J)
'Lovely track with a charming Australian feel. If you've ever been won over by an Asha Jefferies or a Maddy Jane track then this could hit the spot for you.' - (Triple J)
