American Moon is Forest Holter and Jacob Rubeck. According to legend, they met in the circus - Jacob was a clown and Forest was a trapeze artist. Forest would nosedive from a 60ft platform into a tiny puddle of water. Then one day they thought, “what if we rescue these elephants and ride them out of here to the lush forests of New Jersey?” As they traveled across plains and mountains, they hummed songs together while Jacob slapped a wire tied to a cigar box, that’s how American Moon came to be.
