Ametronik

Ametronik was born and raised in the northern suburbs of Paris at the end of the 70s. Influenced from a young age by numerous musical genres including Funk, Motown, Hip-Hop and Jazz and notably groups such as De La Soul and A Tribe Called Quest. As far as he can remember, music has been part of his life and a passion. At age 15, he discovered the art of scratching and artists such as Grandmaster Flash and The Sugerhill Gang. From this moment he knew he wanted to be a DJ.
At 16 years old after saving every cent he could, he bought a set of second hand turntables and mixer. Many hours were passed practicing in his bedroom and shortly after began mixing for friends house parties and birthdays. Its 1995 and he chooses to leave his academic studies behind and launches his career as a DJ.
Thanks to his successful residency, the doors and turntables of famed Parisian clubs opened for the young DJ: Le Palace, Le Queen, Les Bains Douches, Le Folie’s Pigalle....
Set after Set, he perfect his technique and begins creating a reputation.
In every one of his Sets, his remixes and his original creations, the Afro- American influences from his childhood shine through. His house sets are highlighted by Disco, Soul and Funk.
Today Ametronik is sought after by marks such as Hermès, Dior and LVMH. He continues to be involved in the Parisian club scene and festivals whilst his remixes are featured in playlists and often played by numerous DJs.
