Writing songs is something I’ve done for as long as I can remember. When times in my life were difficult, I would always get out a pen and a piece of paper, sit on my bed with my guitar, or sit on my mother’s piano bench, and write down the emotions I was feeling. My songs are pages of a diary, and I know that the people who listen to and love my songs feel those same feelings that I write about. It lets them know they’re not alone.
