Born in Kobe, Japan, Amiide is a singer and songwriter currently based in London.
She grew up listening to 90’s 2000’s R&B and HipHop, such as <a href="spotify:artist:1Y8cdNmUJH7yBTd9yOvr5i" data-name="Destiny's Child">Destiny's Child</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:0TImkz4nPqjegtVSMZnMRq" data-name="TLC">TLC</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:0urTpYCsixqZwgNTkPJOJ4" data-name="Aaliyah">Aaliyah</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:2wIVse2owClT7go1WT98tk" data-name="Missy Elliott">Missy Elliott</a> … etc. Her unique silky vocal is from her mother who is an opera singer in Japan. After high school, she moved to LA to study films.
When she moved back to Tokyo, she met her songwriting partner Jyodan. Amiide and <a href="spotify:artist:7n0YtK7gMQVm6XPELdDFG6" data-name="Jyodan">Jyodan</a> were a member of the multi-cultural HipHop group based both in Tokyo and LA.
