Amin Mamadnazarov was born on April 30, 1990, in the village of Barushon, Rushan District, Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, Republic of Tajikistan.
He is a singer, rapper, beatmaker, songwriter, and producer. Amin Mamadnazarov gained widespread recognition for his unique style, creating hip-hop music in the Pamiri language infused with deep lyrical themes, composing and arranging his songs independently.
In 2011, Amin Mamadnazarov became the first MC of Pamiri rap and was recognized as one of the key figures of Pamiri rap. He is also the founder of Rushani rap, which he pioneered in his native language.
Amin Mamadnazarov comes from a musical dynasty: his grandfather, Mamadnazar Khotamov, was honored as a Distinguished Artist of the Republic of Tajikistan, and his father, Akhtam Mamadnazarov, is a member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Tajikistan. Amin’s older brother, Subkhon Mamadnazarov, is a guitarist and poet who writes and performs his poetry accompanied by guitar.
Amin spent his youth in Khujand (formerly Leninabad) until 2005, when his family moved to the capital city, Dushanbe. He spent the first 21 years of his life in Tajikistan before living in Moscow from 2011 to 2013.
In 2014, due to family circumstances, Amin Mamadnazarov relocated to Geneva, Switzerland, where he continues to develop his musical career and creative endeavors.
