AMJ. A collective of musicians from the UK, Cuba, Colombia and beyond. The band is fronted by the duo of sisters Oriana Melissa and Maria del Mar. Fired by the drum and bass duo of Andy Clarke and Mark Spence and produced by John Hollis, once members of <a href="spotify:artist:006EQjXYKEcojXAkJiJwsZ" data-name="Restriction">Restriction</a> - prominent players in Bristol's reggae explosion in the 80s. The project began as a refreshing exploration of Reggae and Dub, allowing the collective of musicians, engineers, designers and artists to pour their worldly influences into the cradle of roots drum & bass. The AMJ Collective has been releasing fresh, modern dub tracks over the last few years steadily building a solid reputation for an original sound. Their first album, Sky Blue Love, a collaboration with dub maestro Rob Smith (<a href="spotify:artist:5z8Vn9xoYJ3OXi6VSfohzF" data-name="RSD">RSD</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5fegFJAeq9eItFZf8oPIin" data-name="Smith & Mighty">Smith & Mighty</a>), came out in 2016 to wide acclaim across the world. Time to take their music to the stage, AMJ have now created a ten-piece band for an uplifting live experience featuring soulful songs and deep dub workouts.
